Your dream buck awaits!
Lasater Whitetail Lodge trophy whitetail buck Lasater Whitetails Record of Exotics Stag
Lasater Whitetail Lodge boasts a comprehensive management program combining all available technology to raise the biggest Texas Trophy Whitetail Deer possible. You will be thrilled with the quality and quantity of mature trophy whitetail bucks you will encounter.

Hunting takes place in our super-comfortable three-man blinds. They are situated over the food plots where you may see as many as 80 deer in a single evening. We will also do some walk-and-stalk hunting. Nothing can compare to the thrill of rattling up a big West Texas Whitetail!

Extended Hunting Season

Lasater Whitetail Lodge enjoys an extended hunting season, running from October 1st through the end of February. This means you can hunt with us a full month before the regular season begins and also use ranch permits, preserving those on your license for a later hunt.

We offer select weekends in October for a discounted hunt of a big, mature eight-point, along with up to three spikes or does. This two-night hunt costs a flat rate of $2250, and you will receive the same all-inclusive luxury as with our trophy hunts. This is a real bargain and a great way to warm up for the season.

“My group thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our hunting experiences these past two days, and the real clients, who were the two boys, clearly had the time of their lives.”
—Rick, Hudson, OH

Bird Hunting

Quail hunting at Lasater Whitetail Lodge is done over English and German pointers on more than 8000 acres of native West Texas pasture.

Our Blue Quail hunts are conducted farther west. We hunt from UTVs, and, if you have never hunted blue quail, it is a thrilling experience. Coveys are much larger, often as many as 75–100 birds, and they do not hold like Bobwhites, Instead, they run very, very quickly on the ground. You have to move fast to get a shot, and it is an absolute blast.

Our dove hunts are conducted over waterholes and Milo fields. This is a fairly inexpensive way for a large group to enjoy some fast hunting and is also perfect for corporate entertaining.

In addition to quail and dove, we also feature Spring Turkey, which always makes for a fun hunt.

“The past week was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had.”
—Austin, Cuba, NY

Genetic Management

The ranch was purchased in 1999, and we began a five-year project to create a truly unique hunting experience. All aspects of the hunting infrastructure were built during the past six years, including the installation of the high-fence in 2002 and culminating in the opening of our fabulous lodge in 2005. Before last year, no hunting of any kind, other than management culling, has taken place on the ranch since 1999. Our guided whitetail deer hunts are an exciting opportunity for hunters to see a large selection of mature trophy whitetail bucks.

From a nutritional standpoint, Lasater Whitetail Lodge employs a complete protein-feeding program to ensure the best horn growth and reproductive efficiency. The ranch also utilizes food plots to give the whitetail deer and blackbuck antelope herds the best possible nutrition through what would normally be the toughest time of the year.

Lasater Whitetail Lodge uses a variety of techniques to leverage the genetic progress of the herd. The ranch holds Scientific Breeder and Deer Management Permits from Texas Parks and Wildlife, which allow us to purchase top-quality outside Texas whitetail genetics to breed to our best ranch does, captured by helicopter. The result is a top-notch Texas trophy whitetail deer herd with a large selection of mature bucks between four and six years of age. Because of our Deer Management Permit, Lasater Whitetail Lodge enjoys an extended deer hunting season from October 1st through the end of February. Hunters also can use ranch tags for their trophies, preserving their own tags for future use if needed.

“[My] 184-inch deer was a dream come true!”
