2007 should be a breakthrough year for the deer herd. The ranch was fenced five years ago, and the first bucks born under intensive management will be reaching harvest age this season. During that time, we have culled relentlessly and fed continuously. We have introduced big-horn genetics and allowed the herd’s age structure and buck-doe ratio to improve.

We talk lot about our deer, but we also do a lot of other fun hunting as well. We've expanded our offering of Exotics, which can be hunted year-round and make a great off-season trip. Of the nine Exotics we took in 2006, seven medaled for the Record of Exotics, and one of these not medaling had a broken horn or he would have scored Gold! In addition to Exotics, we also offer Spring Turkey, Dove and Quail.

As all of you know, probably the best part of the whole LWL experience is the lodge itself. We invite you to bring the family for a getaway this summer. Opened in 2005, our four-bedroom lodge features spacious living areas appointed with leather seating, hand-carved wooden furniture, and hunting and ranching art--perfect for corporate retreats and family reunions.
